The latest update for Apple iMac line would definitely appeal to it’s customers. An existing user of an iMac wouldn’t notice the defference because the update is with the internal components. The latest version of iMac would include speedy quad-core processors, more powerful graphics, high-speed Thunderbolt data transfer technology, and FaceTime HD cameras.
According to Apple, the new iMac models will be up to 70 percent faster the the last generation and will deliver up to three times better in graphics performance as compared to its predecessor.
The new iMac models are available in the market. It can be purchased through the online Apple Store, Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers. Pricing starts at $1,199 for a 21.5-inch model with a 2.5 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5, AMD Radeon HD 6750M and 500GB hard drive. Another option is priced $1,499 that would include a 21.5-inch model with a 2.7 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5, AMD Radeon HD 6770M and 1TB hard drive.
There are also 27-inch versions which pricing start at $1,699. The specs for the said price would be 2.7 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5, AMD Radeon HD 6770M and 1TB hard drive. For top-notch configuration of a 27-inch model, it will have a 3.1 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5, AMD Radeon HD 6970M and 1TB for only $1,999.
Other upgrade options are also available. It include extra fast Intel Core i7 processors going up to 3.4 GHz, additional hard drive capacity up to 2TB, additional DDR3 memory, and an optional 256 GB solid state drive.
