Frontierville: Planning the Big Day Goals – What You Need To Know

The Creation of Fanny's Wedding Dress

FRONTIERVILLE– Planning the Big Day goals is not that easy at all. Asking you to collect items, wedding plan for Hank and Fanny, and construction of Fanny’s Wedding Dress is not a party either. To accomplish these missions, you have to ask for help from your friends or neighbors and The Planning Goals must be completed. If you are patient enough, the following steps and tips may be useful to send Fanny down to aisle in style.

First, you can’t make a dress without a Dressform, which can be purchased from the Wedding Wagon’s Wedding Shop for 950 coins. Once that’s completed, you can access two separate menus. The first is that seen above, under the “Sew Dress” option.

Empires & Allies Players! – Get Metals From friends!

Hey everyone! Players of Empires & Allies that are over level 14 or so should like this.  If you are lower than level 14, please skip this for now, and come back to it when you’re higher level.

Essentially, this is a page of ask-for links for metals. What you do is this: pick a metal that you need a lot of, or that you want to stock up on. Select the corresponding picture below, and then send requests to as many friends as it will allow.  Then, sit back and watch the metals roll in as you play. You will literally see when someone answers your request because a pop-up will show up at the bottom of the play window.. Similar to this:

In this example, I asked for copper, and that is what I got!

So anyway, here are the links:

            Aluminum               Copper                     Gold                           Iron                 Uranium

I have to reiterate that if you are under level 14, none of this will work for you. Come back when you’re bigger though!

I don’t know how often you can use them… I’ve asked for stuff every 6 hours or so, and it seems like my friends list refreshes so I can send to the same people.

Hope you find this useful. Don’t forget to share with your friends!

Slim XPs 15z Notebook: Dell’s Latest Innovation

One of the major computer manufacturers, Dell may have dropped out its line for Adamo notebooks. This does not mean that they surrendered creating mega-slim computers. They have actually proven that yesterday. The company officially revealed its new invention, the Dell XPS 15z, a less than an inch super slim notebook packed with IntelCore i5 or i7 processors, Nvidia distinct graphics, and 1080p display. Dell says it is just the first in a series of stylish new XPS and Inspiron notebooks to come. XPS 15z is not as thin as the Adamos but they are filled a lot more power and features.

“The XPS 15z provides a glimpse into a series of visually stunning and powerful systems coming soon to our consumer and small-to-medium-business product portfolio. We’re committed to introducing next-generation products that help people pursue their personal and professional passions.” said Dell’s Consumer and Small/Medium Business group president Steve Felice, in a statement.

The Dell XPS 15z is powered by either a second-generation “Sandy Bridge” Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor and features a 15.6-inch WLED display available in either standard HD or optional Full HD (1,920 by 1,080-pixel resolution). The displays are driven by Nvidia GeForce GT252M discrete graphics with either 1 or 2 GB of dedicated video memory—and the systems support both Nvidia 3DTV Play and Nvidia Optimus technology for switching between dedicated and discrete graphics to save power when serious graphics processing isn’t needed. (There’s also an HDMI 1.4 output for connecting to a big screen.) The XPX 15z support up to 750 GB of hard disk storage, ship with 4 GB of RAM (supporting up to 8 GB), and feature a slot-loading DVD±RW drive. Of course, the system sport 802.11a/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 wireless networking, along with two USB 3.0 ports, a dual USB/eSATA port, a 9-in-1 media card reader, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, Mini-DisplayPort video output, and gigabit Ethernet. Dell says the XPX 15z can get up to 8 hours of usage with its standard 8-cell battery. And the Dell XPS 15z ships in a case that’s less than one inch thick—0.97 inches.

Is it practical to buy a Tablet when you already have a Smartphone and a Laptop?

Over a year ago, the revolution of modern tablet was piloted by the introduction of Apple’s iPad tablets. They were considered a “third class” gadget to counterpart the laptop computer and the smartphone. The allegation was a tablet will be just as vital as other portable devices. Does a tablet have an edge over your smartphone or laptop? Does it have features to make it better?

Every invention has its unique and has its own purpose. Even though these devices have Wi-Fi capability, each has its own distinct features. A laptop has plenty of things that a smartphone do not have such as physical keyboard, word processor, software and web development, and a larger screen. Similarly, a smartphone offers functionality of GPS (Global Positioning System) which a laptop doesn’t have.  GPS allow users to check directions or maps wherever they are and find establishments nearby. Tablets provide GPS maps on the go, a full-featured web browser, basic word processing, and photo editing.

A tablet can do anything better than a smartphone. For example, the GPS maps feature is both available on both a tablet and a smartphone; however, tablets got bigger screen than an Android or iPhone. You won’t like squinting on the maps on its small screen. It is the same with movies and games.

So what about tablets vs. laptops? Web surfing is better on a tablet. It doesn’t really make sense because most websites are designed for desktops or laptops, but it is a fact. The tablet’s physical design is more comfortable to hold and navigate. Though laptops are better to use when multitasking, focusing completely on one application at a time has its advantages. Also, tablets have better battery life.

After knowing these things, should one buy a tablet? The answer to this is optional or definitely up to you. If you are financially on a budget, it is not probably practical to buy one. Tablets will not really add anything new especially when you already own a computer, a smartphone, and a laptop.  If you can afford, it will make one’s life easier. An additional gadget such as a tablet is a luxury, not a necessity. We would all be lucky to have such luxuries but it is not good to make a huge financial sacrifice just to buy one.
