Google Talk for Android releases its Video Chat Feature

We all know that Apple’s iPhone has become very popular because of its Facetime app which allows iPhone users to make video calls or chat via WiFi, 3G, or 4G. Android users will never have Facetime but have various of ways to make video or voice calls using various apps like Yahoo Messenger, Skype, Fring, Qik, and etc. Now, Android’s Google talk supports video calls. Good news for Android or Google users!

Google has made an announcement today about it. The updated GTalk will be applicable on Nexus S devices and then other Android OS 2.3 devices. One of its major features is that video calls can be made between users of Android devices and desktop Google Talk users.

It’s really a good thing that Google has thought about this innovation as many people these days prefer to do video calls – face to face! The only downfall – currently not all Android phones are running the versions it supports. Hopefully, all versions will be supported.
